Doula Services

A Doula is a labor support person.  They are there to encourage the mother, to help the coach to be an active support to the laboring woman, and to support the coach through labor. 

 

Research has shown that having a DOULA REDUCES:

·   The length of labor by 25%

·   C-Section rate by 50%

·   Analgesia use by 30%

·   Use of Epidural by 60%

·   Use of Forceps by 30%

As your Doula I will be available for unlimited phone and e-mail consultation.

 

 I will meet with you for 2-3 prenatal visits to form a relationship, develop a birth plan, and come to a full understanding of your desires for birth. 

 

I will accompany you in labor, and help you to give birth in the manner in which you desire.  I will provide physical and emotional comfort to mom and coach.  I will help you to gain information that you need to make an informed decision. 

 

Other services provided as time and labor permits:

Attending prenatal visits, Breastfeeding Support, Pictures, Video, and a Birth Log. 

 

Fees for Doula Services are $350. (I am currently not taking doula clients, as I am expecting my 3rd child in January).

~I believe every woman deserves labor support

~ $50 discount will be given for my Bradley Students.

I will barter, trade services, and workout payment plans if necessary.

 

 

Credentials:

·    Bradley® Certified Instructor and Labor Assistant

·   DONA Doula training

 

I usually only take two births a month, and preferences are given to my Bradley students, and those wanting a natural birth.  Contact Me☺
